1 Boat of Garten
Established in 1898 and designed by one of the grand-masters of golf course architecture - James Braid, The Boat of Garten Golf Club has a repuation, which is admirably upholds, of possessing one of the most breathtaking settings of any golf course in Scotland. It also adds the nostalgic touch of the Strathspey Steam Railway running along its western boundary.
The view from the clubhouse, over the 1st and 2nd fairways and beyond, to the Cairngorm mountains . The smell of pine and heather make this course unique and when combined with the undulation in the fairways that play havoc with your ball make this course a thrilling experience. Although slightly off the beaten track for most golfers those you do make the effort are well rewarded for their efforts.
